Did I really just start a blog?

Caden, 4 yrs.

Blog.
The very first time I heard the word I knew what it meant and frankly, I thought it was cheesy. Don't ask me why, I just did. I imagined it being something that self-proclaimed, talent-lacking but enthusiastic writers and poets would jump all over as a way to expose people to their work. I vowed then and there to never have a blog, or certainly never tell people to "check out my blog." It just seemed so hoity-toity, like you must feel you are a web brainiac with earth-shattering views on life to have something as important as a blog. And I'm not exactly web-savvy. In fact, with my sis-in-law Heather as my inspiration, I have been trying to get a family website going for quite some time now, but ... I just don't get it!
Tessa, 2 yrs.
So here I am. Blog-land. I figured this was my only alternative to figuring out how to create my own whole website. I love my family members' websites and check up on them constantly. I love seeing pictures of my far-off niece and reading up on my cousins' kids along with other relatives. And I want to show off my beautiful children to them as well. So that's my main purpose here. It will be wonderful to have a place to do some writing and reveal my earth-shattering views on life, but mostly I want a place to share my precious babies through pictures for all my far-off loved ones to see. At least until I convince someone else to make me a website :)
I hope you enjoy this like I enjoy yours!

  1. I'm glad you have a blog!
I've added you to my RSS feed reader (I just recently learned about them & since I have a few friends who blog now, it makes checking for updates much easier & less time consuming ;)

We are so glad Tessa is ok!
