10 years of wonderful!

Today is our 10th wedding anniversary! Wow! It's been 10 years and we still look exactly the same as we did when we were married. Not many people can pull that off (or have that kind of mental delusion).

So in true blogger fashion, I'd like to let my hubby know why I love him so and why I'm glad he's stuck with me for 10 whole years already. In no particular order:

10: You still make me laugh ... a lot ... and sometimes roll my eyes, but definitely lots of laughter.

9: You let me sleep in. Remember on our first anniversary when you asked how many more hours ... days ... weeks I had slept than you over the last year? Now we can multiply that by 10, divide it by the 5 or so years of 3+ nightly baby feedings, subtract any hours after 10 am (because they definitely count as naps) ... and I've still slept a good solid 4 months more than you have. At least.

8: You don't fear picking up the vacuum or dish scrubber. Toilet wand, yes there is fear there, but I'm totally OK with taking sole responsibility for that job. I hope I kiss you enough for your help around the house.

7:You check the doors every night before going to bed. It makes me feel so safe and protected.

6: Your hard-working mindset and work ethic. I feel so looked after and cared for by you and I so appreciate all you do to support our family financially and balance quality time as well. You are amazing. Whatever job you do you always make sure to do it well. You are so dependable and dedicated. And not just at work - any task, like say removing wallpaper and paste from humongous, 13-foot-high walls, redoing all the gardens and landscaping, changing the lightbulbs in our impossibly high ceilings (ugh, the closet ...), dealing with unpaying tenants ... you are not afraid of a big job and always follow through. You are so much better than I am :)

5: You are totally easy going and don't mind if dinner isn't ready when you get home. I do try to have it ready, but I can't tell you how much it means to not feel the pressure from you. It is a real load off in one of the toughest times of the day. I appreciate how you will pitch in and help if I am behind. That's really awesome.

4: On that note, it is so good how you come home from work and immediately jump into playing with your kids. I hear some dads want their "personal time" when they get home from work, but you are unselfish and up for a tussle immediately. It's beautiful to see.

3: And on that note, you are the greatest father in the world to our children and I couldn't ask for better! I love how they love you and it makes me love you fiercely!

2: When you are gone on business trips, there is an unbearable emptiness in my life! I appreciate you being there day in and day out through all the little challenges and triumphs and enjoy catching up with you at the end of the day ... during "The Office" commercials :)

1: And the number 1 reason why these past 10 years have been so amazing:
You married me in the right place! Our eternal family is the greatest blessing in my life, and you are the most important part of that. Thank you for marrying me in the temple, for all that entailed before and after our wedding, and for keeping your covenants and keeping our family on the right spiritual track. You were, are, and will continue to be forever my favorite!
