Summertime

We've been having fun doing lots of things this summer!

We watched Steve and Betsy's dog so they could go on their last vacation as a childless couple! Baby nephew could be here any day now!

I saw this idea on a blog and knew my kids would love it. Tissue paper stained windows! Tessa worked hard at this all day, and Caden and Davin's interest waxed and waned. We still have it up though. I'm a little afraid of how it will come down :)

Finished product.

Baby burned his hand! Sooo youchy!

We went to some 4th of July festivities and the kids fell in love with the colonial school they had. They went 3 or 4 times. Pretty funny too, since they're homeschooled.
Oh yeah, and we got a bunny. Tessa named him/her Clover. It's a baby mini lop. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl, and may never find out :) It's tricky to tell, especially when they're so small. It's a sweet little bunny though and so soft. My affection for him was severely tested however when I found a turd ... in the baby's mouth. Yes. I said it. I shudder at the thought. So nasty. Now our animal count is 12 chickens, 5 turkeys and 1 rabbit. We got rid of the baby chicks.

AAAANNNNDDDD...
last but not least, my birthday present! Hooray!

  1. I can't believe those blisters on little Koen's hand! What happened? And good thing you blog...I figure we talk about everything, but I still find out new things. I still love the stained glass...maybe you should never take it down. haha And I thought Ellie was the softest animal I'd ever touched until I touched that bunny.
