Age: 4 Size: 3

Finally, after nearly a year of talking about it, Tessa is 4! Her birthday was Tuesday and we had a fun time celebrating her that day. She got some family gifts and we went to Chuck E. Cheese's that night to play games. It was fun!

Little birthday poser

Davin had a hard time letting her open her own gifts. They both tore it up at Chuck E. Cheese's though! I asked Davin what he liked best and he said, "Money." Ha ha, he meant putting in tokens. That was his favorite part - he'd pop one in and then leave. Tessa said her favorite part was the game that was actually out of order. Hmm.

Her new birthday pjs - she's totally a ballerina now because she goes to dance class.

On Wednesday we had some of her friends over for a party. She kept reminding me sadly of kids we didn't invite. I wasn't sure I could handle too big of a crowd so I only had her invite a few kids, but I reassured her that next year if the weather was nice we could do an outside party and everyone we wanted could come. It was kinda sad to not have everyone we love to play with there!
The kids made foam wands, fruit loop necklaces, and rice crispy castles decorated in candy.

I bet YOU can't make this many 3-6-year-olds sleep at the same time! :) It was actually a dancing game where the evil witch put a sleeping spell on them. I was surprised they all complied! Guess you don't mess with the witch!

On a treasure hunt to find their jewels.
Tessa' cake. (Please excuse the messy counter - it was actually the cleanest one available.) She wanted a crown cake at first but I found a picture like this on the internet and was like, "Are you sure you don't want a castle?" When she saw it she agreed :) I was planning to do a lot more to this - add ivy vines, decorate the base and towers in candy, etc., but it was 12:30 am when I finished this much so I decided it would just have to do. And I didn't think the preschoolers would complain.

Everyone knew which piece they wanted!
