Guess who found their camera downloading cord? I did (well, technically hubby did)! Yay!
We spent like 3 freakin' days making Valentines this year. Everyone wanted something different, plus we had to decorate boxes for each of them. We had 2 homeschool parties with Valentine exchanges, plus little friends to give away to, so when all was said and done I made 210 valentines. It was crazy.
But they turned out pretty good. We liked 'em.
I loved this one. These are all over the craft blogs this year. Nothing original, but I make a great imitation, don't I? :) The best part - 3 bags of dollar store suckers and free prints at Costco made these Valentines cost $3. With a few suckers left over. I just wish I had known that Costco had Valentine borders I could have stuck on. Woulda been cute.
Tessa fell in love with these ones from Family Fun. Uggggg, so much work! I wanted to throw my scrapbook paper bits everywhere out of frustration. Never again.
We went rollerskating for our 4th? time on Monday as part of the hs Valentine party. The kids have such a great time! Caden is getting a good feel for it, and the others ... well, at least Dad was there.
See that grip of death?
This baby quickly went from this ... to this.
The other crazy part was how much candy we got. More than Halloween - about double. Holy crap, who needs 2 Halloweens worth of sugar a year? I remember the good old days where you signed your name on a card. And maybe stressed over whether the boy in your class would think you liked him if your card said "Be mine". When did all this sugar enter the picture?
haha that's funny that they got so much candy- I think Talia got one sucker and a cookie... and 2 pencils...
ReplyDeleteThose are such cute Valentine's. I cannot believe you made so many! But seriously so creative. The skating looked fun, too. Ok, maybe if you were the kids. :) It was fun to see you all today, thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing, such cute valentines. I miss you guys! I feel like Koen's just a little man anymore, he's getting so big so fast!
