Learning Logs: Week 27

Caden: For math this week I finished fractions. For language arts I am reading the Last Apprentice and practicing cursive. I've putting together a booklist for boys my age and I already have a whole page. In piano I am polishing Fur Elise and getting it all memorized. For tech I made enemies appear on my Fish game screen. In history we are preparing for our Constitution bee.

Tessa: For math I am still working on fractions. For history we did a quiz about the constitution, and in our ancient history group we did a Jeopardy review for everything we learned so far that was really fun. In language arts I wrote a story that was a twist on Rumplestilskin. I am also reading the 5th I, Q book called The Windy City, also still reading Heidi. In piano I am still working on Beauty and the Beast and Thunder on the Plains. I did some of my entrepreneurship class and then had some troubles accessing canvas through our filter, but now it's working again.

Davin: In math I did lots of problems like what minus 6 equals 4? And the answer is 10. I finished Gifted Hands and am still reading The Well. We started Harry Potter out loud again last night. I have been practicing my handwriting by writing letters and my typing by sending emails. For history we had a quiz class and also talked about St. Patrick's Day and why we celebrate it. For piano I learned a song called "Way Cool Chords 4" and we had a sub teacher. I didn't really do tech stuff this week.

Koen: For math I just did my workbook every day and learned more addition facts like 7+3 and then I played a math game with my mom called math dice. Oh I have a math class at co-op and we learned about colors and how many seeds a pickle usually has (about a hundred!). I am listening to Harry Potter and doing my reading lessons and I am looking through Spirit Animals and How to Train Your Dragon to find words I know and try to read them. In history we did the game quiz and got chocolate egg prizes at the end. It was so fun! In piano I had a new teacher that was really fun but she probably isn't my all the time teacher. We talked about the lines and spaces notes and played our songs.
