Sewing spree

This year I have really started to LOVE fabric! I mean, I was always one to glance at the fabric section at Walmart and exclaim over two or three of them, but I have turned into a regular customer in the fabric stores. My poor kids. They groan every time I tell them we're going to the fabric store, and I must bribe and bring treats and toys to make it bearable. I can totally relate, though; I dreaded the fabric store when I was a kid, too. I remember hours and hours in there, wondering what the heck was taking so long. So I am perpetuating the agony. Maybe Tessa can break the cycle of abuse :)

Anyway, I have seen some really cute stuff. Stuff that makes me drool and wonder what I can sell to earn some extra fabric money. Here are the next quilts I am going to make:

I'll make this for Steve and Betsy's first baby boy (ha ha guys, cracking these baby jokes never stops amusing me). This picture doesn't do this quilt justice; the colors aren't quite right. I la-la-love this fabric line! I'm trying to figure out exactly how I could justify buying it. I would probably make a different quilt though - I think it'd be great with a darling pattern wonderful Mary gave me with stripes, ric rac and appliqued bubbles and flowers. Anyone having a girl? (Besides you, Heather. Your stuff's already done, sorry.)

Just another cute one with tans, browns and blues. I like the frames look.

I also just really love this pattern. Kinda modern; not your typical grandmother quilts. I think it's a great one.
