We heard about a presentation the BYU chemistry department puts on during National Chemistry Week (there is a week or day for everything, I tell ya). It was so excellent! We had a great time, and Caden was enthralled. The presenter was hilarious and did an excellent job. We'd recommend it for next year!
Steve suggested Caden ask for an autograph before the show started. Of course he did! The guy (I forget his name .. Dr. something) was so flattered and said it was the first time he ever gave an autograph to a fan :)
Waiting for the show to start with Aunt Betsy and Uncle Steve.
Since he asked for the autograph, Caden was an instant favorite and got to participate in part of the show. It was tough to get pictures of though :)
Poor little doggy ... went into the liquid nitrogen bath and came out completely deflated. But then he slowly expanded back to life. Pretty cool.
There were lots of color changing solutions, some fire, a giant glow stick, "elephant toothpaste" ... it was great! The night ended with lighting off balloons filled with different gases. The last one let off a supersonic boom and was a little overkill ... several people were rubbing their ears as they left. Poor Steve was covering Tessa's ears and got the worst of it. Thanks for sacrificing yourself, Uncle Steve!

How fun! The Chemist that Caden asked for an autograph from was our Home Teacher and neighbor at Y View in Provo. He was such a funny guy! Small World. I am impressed with how many cool field trips you do. You are such a cool mom! I need to be on the look out for stuff like that for Dash. He would love it!
