Kilee ... stinker ... get outta there! :)

Raya is a mess ... or maybe pretending to be sunshine ...

Looks like Tessa just full-on missed!

Uncle Steve, looking like his normal self :)

Some of us just naturally give Betsy a hard time when she's got the camera.

So those first shots were the family party on Sunday night. On Monday we had a party with friends and cousins. It was a "SPY PARTY" and we had a lot of fun with that. Our invitations were glued into file folders marked "top secret" and invited the kids to spy training, with a password to get in. They all remembered that at the door :) We took pictures of everyone and made them name badges. We played games to develop their spy abilities, like listening to different noises and telling what they each were, feeling and recognizing things in a bag, "Spy Simon Says" to develop listening, and obstacle course for physical strength, etc. It was fun. We had a "bomb" pinata also.
I looked and looked for "CAUTION" tape and finally had to make my own, but that was OK because we could personalize it more. (As you can also see, Dave has been painting our front door and was not finished before the party :))I just loved this one of Raya and had to post it.
It's kinda hard to tell, so I'll just say that this is a magnifying glass cake with an enlarged fingerprint in the middle. There. Don't ask again :) I totally meant to hide money in the cake like my mom always did for us, but I forgot until I started serving it :) I am also glad I took the picture when I did, because a few minutes later I reached across the table for some streamers and totally laid across the bottom of the cake. I don't know what I was thinking ... it was late. I got a nice reverse-print "5" on my white shirt. So dumb.

We didn't take enough party pictures but it was just so crazy! Sorry Caden! Then we ate a quick dinner and went to Chuck E. Cheese's to play around for a while. Uncle Steve and Aunt Betsy joined us there as well. It was great fun but we forgot our camera! Thank goodness Uncle Steve managed to snap these incredibly high-quality shots :-P

We love the cake! The whole party sounds so fun! Can you plan Steve's next birthday... maybe a binary cake with 0's and 1's on it ;) Actually, Steve normally looks goofier. (He is sitting here agreeing.) Too bad Caden didn't get to go to Chucky Cheese -- oh wait, he did! Where are the pictures??
