This is the hardest week of the
year! So much Christmas anticipation and not much desire to do the mundane and
usual. We’ve read The Christmas Sweater, Holly and Ivy, A Return to Christmas,
and many other Christmas picture books. We have been practicing Christmas songs
on the piano, and Caden had a recital with his piano class where they all
played together on grand pianos that are on display in the store where he takes
his lessons. It was so cool! We did a Christmas recital as a family at a
nursing home and it was fun and a good experience. We wrapped up our co-op
semester and ended with a bang! Caden’s favorite classes were American History
and Photoshop. Tessa liked IEW writing and Ladies of Liberty. Davin loved Get
on the Dance Floor and Knights of Freedom, and Koen liked Big Hero 6 and the
Land of Make Believe. Math this week has included our workbooks as well as calculating 10% tithing and planning out Christmas purchases. Tech classes fell by the wayside except for Tessa who continues her dog walking business. We didn't really do much history reading besides the old-time Christmas books we read.
