We focused on Christmas
preparations during the last week of December and incorporated all the
academics in our daily life – baking, cooking, building snow forts and sledding
ramps, secret service and purchasing gifts. We did not resume much school this
week of January. Monday began with 3 of 6 children waking up with head colds
and goopy eyes, and the other children all got it as the days went on. It was a
hard week of not feeling well, but thank goodness for homeschooling! We still
got our literature books in, read from our history book and some even did a
little math when they felt well enough. We played some games on good days but
had time to rest and rejuvenate.
